Isn’t it lovely to see the new, bespoke bunting hung in the Town Centre! It forms part of our commitment to brightening the Town Centre and welcoming shoppers and tourists to experience our unique town.
Looking ahead, we’re pleased that this year we are planning to hold a traditional Remembrance Sunday Parade on November 14th. After the event was cancelled in 2020 owing to the prevalent Public Health crisis, we know everyone was keen to see it revived as soon as it was safe to do so. The Town Council have been planning this for a few weeks now to ensure that local groups, residents and businesses are aware and can participate in the remembrance event.
We’re looking forward to holding the traditional service at the Cenotaph ahead of the parade to St Peter & St Paul’s Church and the Church service.
More information about the event can be found on our website, and we hope to see you on November 14th from 10:30am, ahead of the service starting at around quarter to 11.
Until next time,
Matt Harrison
Chair, Shepton Mallet Town Council
