After a two-year hiatus, it was great to announce last week that we are bringing back Collett Park Day! The most loved event in the town’s calendar was cancelled for obvious reasons but this year we plan on bringing it back with a bang! Returning to it’s roots as a completely free to enter local community event, Saturday 11 June will see Collett Park transformed for one day only into a celebration of all things Shepton.

We’re early in the stages of planning at the moment so can’t give too much away but our website at www.collettparkday.co.uk will be regularly updated as things progress. For the moment, we are seeking charities and community groups to book their space. Please do so at the website and the team will get back to you soon with confirmation of your booking.

We are always on the look out for new ideas (and helpers!) so if you have seen something elsewhere that you think could work really well at the day, or you want to lend a helping hand, please contact the town council office or any councillor and we’ll see what we can do!

See you on 11 June

Until next time,

Matt Harrison, Chair, Shepton Mallet Town Council
