A new table tennis and foosball table have been installed in Collett Park for the community to enjoy. The concrete tables have been placed in situ by the shelter, offering everyone a free to use activity year-around.

The tables have been erected to promote healthy and social activity, and add to the range of existing sports and recreation equipment the park has to offer. Some of the benefits of playing table tennis include improving reflexes and hand-eye coordination, core strength but easy on the joints.

Both tables can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities and it’s a great way to stay warm outside during this cold winter! We look forward to seeing residents, young and old, keeping active and having fun.

For anyone wanting to use the tables, they will need to bring their own bats and balls which can be purchased from retail outlets in Shepton Mallet.
